Introduction / Purpose

This module is responsible for managing the various types of packaging units and their weights that will be used for packaging. The user can add new packaging units from the various packaging materials, update existing packaging units, and change the status of packaging units.

Dependencies

1. System Performance: System should respond properly to save the packaging material data accurately.
2. Packaging Material Master: Users must have added packaging  materials to the system. To add a packaging unit, the user assigns a packaging material from the added packaging materials in the DB.

Packaging Unit Master List

There are two ways to open the list of package material master, as mentioned and shown below.

1. Click on the “Packaging Unit Master” under the “Masters” menu as shown below.

2. Click on the “Packaging Unit Master” from the site map under the “Masters” module as shown below.

Add A Packaging Unit

To add a packaging unit, follow the below steps:

Step 1: To open the packaging unit master list screen, follow the steps mentioned in the section “Packaging Unit Master List”.

Step 2: Click on the “+ Add New” button as shown below.

Step 3: Enter Packaging Material, Packaging Unit Code, Packaging Unit Barcode, Weight. Click the “Save” button to save the packaging unit.

Update A Packaging Unit

To update a packaging unit, follow the below steps:

Step 1: To open the packaging unit master list screen, follow the steps mentioned in the section “Packaging Unit Master List”.

Step 2: Click on the “Packaging Unit Name” from the list, as shown below.

Step 2: Click on the “Edit”  button, as shown below.

Step 4: Update the packaging material name from the list, as shown below. Click the “Update” button to save the update.
