Introduction/Purpose
The Laytime Settings module is an important module that enables the admin to manage the Laytime in the system. Throughput is the process by which products such as Oil, Lubricants, etc. are transferred from vessels to tanks using pumps. Therefore, vessels need to stay on deck for a specific amount of time so that the process is completed successfully. This time is called the laytime. Here, the ideal laytime needs to be inputted in the system for reference.
Dependencies
- Database: A robust and secure database is essential to store and manage the laytime settings. The database should be capable of handling the configuration data and ensuring data availability whenever required.
- System Performance: The system should respond properly to save the laytime setting into the database and fetch settings data efficiently as required.
Laytime Settings List
There are two ways to open the list of Laytime Settings, as mentioned and shown below.
- Click on the “Laytime Settings” under the “Configurations” module as shown below.
- Click on the “Laytime Settings” from the site map under the “Configurations” module as shown below.
Add New Laytime Range:
To add a new Laytime Settings, follow the below steps.
Step 1: To open the Laytime Settings List screen, follow the steps mentioned in the section “Laytime Settings List”.
Step 2: Click on the “+ Add Laytime Range” button as shown below.
Step 3: Fill all the mandatory fields (marked with *) in the “Add Laytime Range Setting Form”, as described and shown below.
- Min Quantity – Enter the minimum quantity i.e. lower range of product quantity for which the layout time is applicable.
- Max Quantity – Enter the maximum quantity i.e. higher range of product quantity for which the layout time is applicable.
- Laytime Hours – Time required for the ship to stay on the deck to transfer a specific quantity of product into the tanker. The quantity of the product must be in the range of Minimum and Maximum quantity. Admin needs to enter the laytime in the system.
Step 4: Click the “Save” button to save new LT quantity settings.
Update Existing Laytime Range:
To update an Existing Laytime Range Setting, follow the below steps.
Step 1: To open the Laytime Settings List screen, follow the steps mentioned in the section “Laytime Settings List”.
Step 2: Click on the “Min Quantity” of the records from the list, as shown below.

Step 3: Update min quantity and max quantity and laytime hours, as shown below.

Step 4: Click the “Update” button to update.
