Ticket Category
Purpose
Ticket categories help group related issues under predefined headings, enabling easier tracking, assignment, and management.The purpose of Ticket Categories in our system is to provide a structured framework for organizing issues based on their nature or subject matter.

Navigation Path
To manage and access the Ticket Category module within the system, follow these steps:
- Navigate to the Main Menu:
Open the main navigation menu by clicking the menu icon, typically located in the top-right corner of the screen. - Select ‘Masters’:
From the navigation menu, choose the Masters section. - Open ‘Master’:
Under the Masters module, locate and select the Master category to explore various configuration options. - Click on ‘Ticket Category’:
Within the Master module, select Ticket Category to access and manage the list of ticket classifications available in the system. This page provides options to view, add, or update ticket categories.
Listing
In the Ticket Category listing page, users can view a comprehensive list of all ticket categories added in the system. The listing provides essential details about each category, including:
- Category Name: The name assigned to the ticket category.
- Category Code: A unique identifier for the ticket category.
- Add Date: The date when the ticket category was created in the system.
- Status: The current status of the ticket category (e.g., Active, Inactive).
Ticket Category Details
Users have the option to view detailed information about each Ticket Category.
- By clicking on the More Details option, users can access a comprehensive view of the ticket category, which includes a summary of the category’s information.
- View Summary: Clicking on a ticket category in the listing navigates the user to the specific ticket category’s summary page. This detailed summary will include all relevant information about the category, such as its description, status, and other associated data.
- Clciking on the Edit option will allow user to change the Category Name and Category Code
- The data displayed is fetched directly from the inventory system, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information.

Add New Ticket Category
To add a new Ticket Category, the user needs to enter the following details:
- Category Name: The name of the new ticket category.
- Category Code: A unique identifier assigned to the category.
- Status: The current status of the category (e.g., Active, Inactive).
The Action Buttons for adding a new Ticket Category will include:
- Save: To save the newly created ticket category with the entered details.
- Discard: To discard the changes made and exit the creation process without saving.
Once the details are added this Ticket category will be viewed in listing page
