Purpose
The Delivery Terms Master in our system is designed to define and manage the terms and conditions under which goods are delivered to customers. It plays a crucial role in standardizing delivery-related information, such as shipping methods, the allocation of transportation costs, and the points at which risks are transferred. By centralizing this data, the system ensures that the correct delivery terms are consistently applied across all orders, helping to streamline logistics, ensure contract compliance, and maintain clear communication with customers.
In our system, the Delivery Terms Master simplifies and automates the management of delivery terms, providing a reliable framework for procurement and sales teams. It ensures that every transaction aligns with pre-defined delivery conditions, enhancing efficiency, reducing errors, and improving customer satisfaction by clearly defining responsibilities and expectations at the time of order fulfillment.
Dependency of Delivery terms
The Delivery Terms Master module relies on several dependencies within the system to ensure accurate and seamless functionality:
- Order Management: Delivery terms are directly linked to orders, ensuring that the agreed-upon conditions are applied during the order processing phase.
- Logistics and Shipping: The delivery terms guide the logistics team in coordinating transportation, assigning responsibilities, and managing risk transfer points.
- Customer Records: Delivery terms are associated with specific customers to standardize shipping agreements and ensure consistency in customer communication.
- Contracts and Agreements: Predefined delivery terms are used in contract creation, ensuring compliance with negotiated terms and reducing ambiguity.
- Inventory and Procurement: Delivery terms play a role in procurement processes by defining the transportation and risk responsibilities for incoming goods from suppliers.
Navigation Path
To navigate to the Delivery Terms Master in the system, follow these steps:
- Navigate to the Main Menu:
- Click on the main navigation icon located in the top-right corner of the screen to access the system’s menu.
- Select ‘Masters’:
- From the navigation menu, choose the Masters section.
- Open ‘Master’ Section:
- Under the Masters module, click on the Master option to reveal various master data options.
- Click on ‘Delivery Terms’:
- In the Master section, select Delivery Terms to access the Delivery Terms Master page. This will allow you to view, add, and manage all delivery terms within the system.

Listing
Users can view a comprehensive list of all defined delivery terms within the system, providing an overview of the various shipping and delivery conditions. This listing includes essential information, by accessing this list, users can efficiently manage and standardize delivery-related data across orders, ensuring consistency and clarity in the procurement and logistics process.

Delivery Term Details:
Users have the option to view detailed information about each delivery term, including specifics like the shipping method, cost responsibility, and point of risk transfer.
Clicking on the more details option will view the details of the Delivery terms Which will include the summary and Notes
- View Summary: By clicking on the delivery terms in the listing, the user will be navigated to the particular Package type summary page.
- This data is fetched from the inventory.
- View Notes: On clicking the notes tab user will be able to view and add the notes for the delivery terms.
To Add notes user will have to enter below details :
- Classification:
Select the relevant classification or category for the note. This helps in organizing the notes and identifying their purpose. - Comment:
Add a detailed comment or description related to the delivery terms. - Upload Images:
Users can upload relevant images to visually support the note. For example, an image of the delivery terms or how it is used in operations can be attached to provide context and clarity.
Add New Delivery Term :
To add new delivery terms in the system, users need to provide the following details:
- Delivery Term Name: Specify the name of the delivery term, which represents the conditions under which goods will be delivered.
- Delivery Term Type: Indicate the type of delivery term, categorizing it based on predefined classifications such as shipping method or responsibility type.
Once the details are added this Delivery terms will displayed in the listing page
