Delivery Estimation
Introduction/Purpose:
The Delivery Estimation Master provides a centralized system for managing delivery estimation data, essential for maintaining accurate timelines and associated metrics within the transporter system.
By allowing users to input delivery estimation details, including transporter, state, default depot (if applicable), and truck type (e.g., dry, bulk, wet, or all), this master ensures that reliable and standardized delivery information is available. Users can export a CSV sample file to fill in details such as destination state, state code, estimated days, fuel estimation (liters), distance (KM), and expenses (USD), which can be re-imported for seamless data integration. The system uses this data to assist in assigning orders and trips, facilitating precise planning and efficient delivery operations.
Dependency :
The Delivery Estimation Master has critical dependencies within a Transport Management system. Here are key dependencies:
- Transporter: Selecting a transporter is required to create delivery estimation details and link the estimation data to a specific transporter for accurate planning.
- State Master: The state must be chosen from existing state data to ensure accurate delivery mapping and association with delivery timelines.
- Truck Type: Determines the applicable vehicle type (e.g., dry, bulk, wet, container, or all) for which the delivery estimate is created, ensuring relevance to specific vehicle operations.
- Depot Master: If applicable, users can select the default depot associated with the chosen transporter to provide more specific estimation details for that location.
