Generator Usage

Introduction/Purpose

This module tracks the usage of generators, capturing details like reading date, generator information, fuel type, opening and closing readings, hourly usage, consumption rate, quantity consumed, and user actions. The purpose is to monitor and manage generator fuel consumption, operational hours, and fuel efficiency for effective maintenance and cost control.

How to Navigate:

The navigation to Generate Usage module in smart station are as follows:

  • Click on the menu and transaction tab, which is located at the left side of the screen, and then click on the Generate Usage section. After clicking on this, the user can navigate to the Generate Usage listing page.

Listing:

The generate usage module allows users to add and view generator usage in the system. The key feature of generator usage module listing are as follows:

  • Advance Search
    This option allows user to filter data with single or Multiple criteria in Column Name with options like
    • Equal
    • Not Equal
    • Begins 
    • Does Not Begin with
    • Ends With
    • Does Not End with
    • Contains 
    • Does Not Contain
  • Show all listing records
    This option allows the user to clear all Filters and display all records on the Listing page.
  • Hide/Show Columns
    This option allows users to customize columns by adding/removing columns to display from the Listing page.
    • In this option user have to select column which they want to view in the list , if the user uncheck/unselect all column then system will give error message that “Please check at least one column”
    • The user can view following action in this section
      • Ok :- On clicking the “Ok” button, the user can submit the checked option, and based on the selection, the column will display to the user in the list.
      • Cancel :- On clicking this button the user can cancel the check column.
  • Export Data
    Selected records, current page records, or all records can be exported by users with listed columns or all columns to a spreadsheet or other file format for further analysis or reporting.
  • Record Filter
    Filter option allows users to filter the list of records based on visible columns.
  • Record Filter
    The change view option allows users view generator list as below:
    • Table View
    • List View

Recording and Updates:

The user can add a Generator Usage record by clicking on the “Add Generator Usage” button and by entering the below fields: 

  • Location Name: The default location where the generator is stationed.
  • Generator Name: Select the specific generator from the available options.
  • Reading Date: Date and time when the generator reading was taken.
  • Hourly Usage: The number of hours the generator has been in operation.
  • Opening Reading: Initial reading of the generator before usage.
  • Consume Rate: Rate of fuel consumption per hour.
  • Closing Reading: The reading recorded after the generator has been in operation.
  • Qty Consumed: The total quantity of fuel consumed during this operation.
  • Attachments: Any relevant documents or files associated with this generator usage.
  • Remarks: Additional comments or notes related to this generator usage entry.

This option allows the user to perform the following action in this section.

  • Save : Allows the user to submit the Generator Usage.
  • Discard: Allows the user to discard the Generator Usage.
