Notice Period

Introduction:

The Notice Period Master is used to define and manage various notice period durations applicable to candidates or employees during hiring or exit processes. Common values include 15 days, one month, two months, three months, etc. This master helps standardize notice period options across the organization, ensuring accurate and consistent data during candidate onboarding and exit management.

How to Navigate:

  • Click the menu icon in the top-right corner.
  • Navigate Go to Masters > Notice Period Master

Listing:

The Notice Period Master listing page displays all predefined notice period options in a structured tabular format. Each record shows key information such as the Notice Period Option (e.g., One Month, 15 Days), Added Date, and current Status (Active/Inactive). This view helps HR teams easily manage and track available notice period values for recruitment and employee management activities.

  • Add New: Opens a form to create a new notice period entry.
  • Search: Filters the records in the listing table based on keywords entered.
  • Export: Allows downloading the list of notice period records in formats like Excel or CSV.
  • Show All: Refreshes the listing to display all records, clearing any applied filters.
  • Filter: Enables advanced filtering to view records based on specific fields such as status or date.
  • Search Bar: A quick keyword-based tool to find specific notice period entries within the list.

Recording & Update

The Recording & Update page in the Notice Period Master allows users to create new notice period entries or edit existing ones based on organizational policies. This functionality ensures that accurate and standardized notice period durations are available for selection during recruitment and exit processes.

Users can enter the required details, such as the organization name, the notice period option (e.g., one month, 15 days), and status, then choose to save or discard the changes.\

Fields

  • Organization Name*: Select the organization to which the notice period setting applies.
  • Option: Enter the duration of the notice period (e.g., 15 days, one month, or three months).
  • Status: Choose the current status of the notice period: Active or Inactive.

Actions Available

  • Submit: Saves the notice period master record for the future reference and transaction
  • Discard: Cancels the master saving of the notice period and navigates to the listing without saving any input.
