Appraisal Configuration

The purpose of Appraisal Configuration in the performance management system is to define and manage key parameters for the appraisal process, including market adjustments, budget allocations, compensation benchmarking, and timelines. By configuring these elements, the system ensures a structured, fair, and consistent evaluation process that aligns with organizational goals, optimizes resource allocation, and maintains competitive compensation standards.

How To Navigate

The navigation to record a appraisal configuration in a performance system typically involves the following steps:

  • Click on the main navigation icon: The main navigation icon may be located in the top right corner of the screen. Clicking on this icon will open the navigation menu, which typically includes links to various sections of the performance system.
  • Click on the Employees section: The Employees section is located under the right section of the screen; clicking on this section will display a list of employee-related masters.
  • Click on the Appraisal Configuration : Click on the Appraisal Configuration section, which is located under the employees section, will redirect you to the Appraisal Configuration listing page

Listing Screen

In the Appraisal Configuration Listing Screen, users can view a comprehensive list of appraisal configurations that have been previously added manually. 

  1. Recording & Updates

The user will be able to add or update the appraisal configuration by entering the following information:

  • Name*: Captures the name of the appraisal configuration (e.g., Annual Performance Review 2025).
  • Market Adjustment Percentage*: Captures the percentage adjustment based on market trends (e.g., 40%).
  • Market Budget Percentage*: Captures the budget allocation percentage for market adjustments (e.g., 30%).
  • Compensation Benchmarking Percentage*: Captures the percentage used for benchmarking employee compensation against market standards (e.g., 30%).
  • Budget Percentage*: Captures the overall budget allocation percentage for the appraisal process (e.g., 20%).
  • Start Date*: Captures the start date of the appraisal cycle (e.g., 01/01/2025).
  • End Date*: Captures the end date of the appraisal cycle (e.g., 31/12/2025).
  • Remark: Captures any additional notes or comments related to the appraisal configuration.

The user can perform the following actions in this section:

  • Submit: This option allows the user to publish the transaction information. If the system has an approval flow, the maker will submit the information, and it will be sent to the approval authority or checker for approval.
  • Discard: This option allows the user to discard the transaction before saving it.
